the wilshire: a chill venue, no hassle, fresh decor. great for dinner and west siders that dont venture too deep in hollywood. bar scene wasnt really our cup of tea hence the reason we moved on.
cafa vida: set in the palisades offering organic and caged free food, i was loving it. the huevos rancheros and granola bowl are must orders. leave the peanut butter-banana shakes for toast. you can call ahead to put your name in, sitting outside is the way to go. overall it was absolutely scrumptious and i loved being surrounded by the adorable palisades families.
angelato cafe: yummmmm. heaven in a bite. between greig, fed and i we sampled many of the 100s of flavors and left with 6 scoops amongst ourselves. the carmel apple, pear, coconut, chocolate peanut butter, espresso and green tea were all excellent picks. highly recommend it but avoid the general promenade parking.
hooters: it was my first experience there and i went after it full force. im talking beers, wings, nachos, ufc fight..it was amazing! sometimes there is nothing better than completely removing yourself from your element and seriously capturing the essence of a place/crowd not of your own. a few more beers and i may have been ready to smash beer cans on my forehead and holler at the hooters girls just like the fowl mess of men that were there, and by there i mean they seriously went to hooters because thats just what they do as big macho ufc watchers. i loved every second of it! not sure the next time i will return, i recommend this place for big events and if you do go, go full force! leave the hooters t-shirt for pajamas though, thats a bit much.
fritto misto: a quaint nook located in santa monica with a menu that immediately makes your mouth water. its carb heavy but well worth every additional step on the treadmill, dont skip the glass of vino or the fritto misto, that is their specialty.
