turn it up

I found this vest a few months ago at Goodwill and smirked when I noticed the GAP branded buttons. GAP was totally the cool brand for a minute back in the day. Do you remember those GAP hoodies everyone was obsessed with? Man, times have really changed.

A friend who is a pretty rad designer suggested I patch the crap out of the vest and now I can't stop thinking about doing it. Thoughts?

i totally remember when Gap was the AA of today. remember their fragrances?- something to the effect of grass, and clouds...or i don't know what- they were so basic and 90's.

haha, i DO remember those days.
And the funny thing is, I happened to randomly pop in there just today!

great vest, i think it would look great if you did pretty much anything to it...it's a great blank canvas. i just noticed i said "great" 3 times in one sentence. wow, what a diverse vocabulary i have.

Ahh the Gap...fond memories of how people were really doing it when they had that sweatshirt on.

LOL.

You should customize the hell out of that...patches or whatever else.

GAP is def going through an identity crisis... they totally didn't grow with their customer bases and now are trying to catch up by launching their designer collection... if there is anyone who can revive GAP it would be Alexander Wang, I guess we will see...

I love this denim vest! They're something I would love to be able to pull off, you look great!
My Uncle used to work at Gap when he was at University, he bought me a lilac hoody with a glittery GAP logo, at the age of about 8 I thought it was rad, haha.

Definitely patch it. It'll look so unique. Or add gold studding to it!! Or both!

Try some little badges/buttons the ones with bands names and stupid sayings or even get those studs everyones is going crazy about. gold ones would look awesome.

oh & you mean those gap hoodies (and tees, and non-hooded sweatshirts...) that just had "GAP" across the front?

sigh, I had a NEON yellow gap hoody, I was nu-rave before nu-rave existed. Although I was like 7 and an albino and it looked pretty odd. x
