  1. well shoot, i love all the perse items! the cotton is so soft and drapes nicely on any shape. i love the 3/4 sleeve raglan dress. i have been looking for a “live-in” dress and this would do the job. versatile, so as to wear as shirt or dress through an entire weekend. <- my favorite aspect of the perfect pieces. all james perse pieces are perfect in my mind!!

  2. ♥JAMES PERSE!♥

    Currently obsessing over:
    Knit Maxi Sundress in black
    http://www.jamesperse.com/women/dresses/knit-maxi-sundress/viewProduct.do?productId=prod230111

    Why I am obsessed:
It’s the perfect dress. Dress it up, dress it down…
    The L(ong)BD.
It’s really all anyone needs. A no-brainer dress can be worn when you don’t want to think about what to wear.
Or better yet.. when you want to think.. and be creative and plan and play around with accessories, it’s a great piece to start with.

    Thanks!

  3. Gotta love a simple tshirt, but I have to say that having looked through it, my favourite is the Front Pocket Cover Up from the Malibu collection.
Cute little dress to throw on over your bathing suit, and for casual going out in the hottest months.
    Fantastic!

  4. Just looking through the available things on the site made me want to say “everything”. But to be honest, I’m going to pick the things I’ve tried and owned before:

  5. I exclusively backpack through Europe with James Perse attire. Every piece is perfect, versatile and quality.

  6. I would have to go with the Knit Maxi Sundress in black.

Crazy that I just blogged about maxi dresses the other day! One of the dresses included James Perse maxi sundress that I found at shopbob!

The maxi dress is perfect for any weather. Summer with a floppy hat, gladiators and lots of arm candy with a pina colada sitting at a sidewalk cafe near the ocean. Then in cooler seasons, throw on a soft oversized sweater or fur vest with boots and a boho looking bag. Styles are endless with this chic shape. 😀

  7. currently digging the 3/4 sleeve raglan dress. it’s lightweight, easy to wear and perfect for bipolar weather or days when you don’t have time to stop home before staying out all night. looks equally hot with lace up boots, wedges, heels or fly sandals.

  8. I heart the DRAPE FRONT JACKET! the perfect cross between a hoodie, cardigan and jacket. I would wear it slung over anything when I’m out and about and want to be put-together but still casual. off to twitter…thx Geri!

  9. Ahh what a timely and wonderful giveaway! I need to stock up on basic comfy tees, and I love the casual T and the long sleeve basic T. Dream come true – thanks for the great giveaway!

  10. The Empire Sundress is gorgeous and so classic. I would wear it while running around the sandy shores of the Outer Banks of NC next month! 🙂

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  11. Uhh, all of them? Ha. My personal favorite would be the Knit Woven Dress in Porcupine Pigment, because it’s featured in a beautiful neutral with simple lines. I think it’s just crying out for some mad accessorizing, like a belted waist or fun dangly necklaces, or some fab YSL heels. Love love love.

  13. My favorite are the two maxi dresses the, the raceerback long dress and the maxi knit dress. I can’t decide which one to buy but i saw you out in a long dress and now im “addicted” to the idea. help me pick!!!

  14. I’m having a nearly tantric experience with the Drawstring Shirtdress

Can’t think of anything more perfect for summer than the drawstring shirt dress… The possibilities are endless for dressing it up and down and can be carried into the fall with a pair of tights and killer boots! Love it.

  15. do they have a long tight skirt? dont see it online but that would be my favorite. i thought they made one!

  16. My BFF Amy and I went shopping together in SF 4 years ago and fought over the last size-1 Perse black tank dress! It was mostly jersey with a cotton block in the front.

I ultimately won, and I’m still wearing it nowadays! JP is amazing.

  17. Honestly, I am drooling over the James Perse Cruiser. Why not drool over something extravagant? And it’d be perfect for me to cruise around Waikiki in with my favorite bikini and floppy hat. Plus the matte black just looks SICK! Love it.

And I’m about to tweet the contest too.

  18. Must have the Racerback Long Dress in Olympic Sulphur, Rolled Hem Hooded Pullover in Optic White, and the Rib Waist Linen Short in Palm…and at least a half-dozen other laid back, california cool pieces.

I just saw James Perse in the “My Stuff” section of Vanity Fair – the one with Johnny Depp on the cover – oh my!. His favorite colors = matte black &white, jeans = levis, shoes = vans, and of course t-shirt = james perse. =)

    great contest, thanks!

  19. Seriously obsessing over the Cropped Hooded Cardigan in black.

Cardigans are perfect for the weather in Canada, which is constantly rocking back and forth between hot and cold. The hood adds edge and originality and i’m sure this item would look great with my school uniform. Wishing we had James Perse in Montreal!

  21. I love the Relaxed Marbled V-Neck in both Olympic and Sky Blue because it’s more muted than a tie-dye shirt, but still just as interesting.

Also love the Lightweight Fleece Slouchy Short in white because they look super comfy and something so crisp, clean and fresh about them even though they’re made of lounge material.

Plus, in general I think that James Perse clothing are so perfect as basics and comfortable for everyday wear as well as loungewear. I love all of the scoop neck/deep neck tees!

  22. DEFINITELY the James Perse long striped hooded cardigan that Taylor Momsen wears in Gossip Girl when she is running away from home. That’s where it’s at!

Wear it as a cover on the beach, with skinny jeans in the city, over shorts for hangin out in the garden….love it love it love it

  23. I love this ……

    http://www.jamesperse.com/women/sweaters-and-outerwear/cropped-hooded-cardigan/viewProduct.do?productId=prod260059

The cropped hooded cardigan is so cute. I love how its cut short and has a hood. Cardigans can be worn so many differrnt things, its a very versatile item and a closet staple. This one looks really comfy but chic. I could just picture wearing this with a tank and a mini and I’m out the door. Love!!!

Thanks Geri for offering this contest. James Perse has the most comfy cotton on earth.

  24. I love James Perse. I started wearing back in 2004 when I worked for Bloomingdales and could score a discount. Discount or not though I still stock up on these amazing basic pieces that wear beautifully, can be dressed up or down, are so comfortable and stand the test of my destructive nature. I love this:
    http://www.jamesperse.com/women/malibu-collection/v-neck-cover-up/viewProduct.do?productId=prod280017

I wear it to the beach & to dinner with a blazer, heels & jewels!

  25. Long Racerback tank. luv it. greystone. white.
    cool. casual. chic. perfect
dress it up. dress it down. rock it out.
wife beater + stilettos = hottt!

  26. I love the drawstring dress in white. It looks like it would be perfect for around the house, with a bun and bare feet, or walking around, with gold sandals and wood bangles, or going out, with red lipstick, black heels, and a studded clutch. Thanks 🙂

  27. I have the JP Relaxed Casual T-Shirt in grey and white, and they are preeeetty much perfect. They’re incredibly soft, and have that slightly slouchy/worn in look that I really like. James Perse really makes me want to completely revamp my basics. If only I had the money to permit such a move :T

  28. I’m a poor college student who can’t get her fix through the small shops in this small town. Its something i can wear all the time, from bed, to class, to the library, to coffee, and to dinner. Perfectly versatile if done right. Not much too it, just the simplicity of a tank made correctly with the consideration and admiration of a woman’s body.

  29. Oh wow, this is cool! I love James Perse. All the items are extremely wearable and flexible, but I think this dress is my favourite. I’m obsessed with it because it’s gorgeous and simple and can be paired with many things, but also because it can be dressed up or down very easily. I see it as the ultimate luxury staple!

  30. Hmm… I can’t choose just one fave! I love the drawstring shirtdress. I love all the open drape things, the hoodie is very unique. Also the cropped cardigan seems like an excellent staple and the cashmere cardigan….well who doesn’t love cashmere!?
ps keep the blog posts coming I love stopping by here once in a while and seeing all the beautiful photos.

  31. I LOVE EVERYTHING FROM JP!!
I am an overseas reader in Hong Kong, maybe I am not able to join this amazing activity, but I really wanna tell how much I LOVE the KNIT MAXI SUNDRESS in black.
With 5’8″ figure, I have a hard time finding the perfect maxi dress here. I have been addicted the JP’s stuffs for a long time, and the Knit Maxi Sundress is just the right fit for me.
Please come to HK soon so that I can have a complete wardrobe!

  32. My favorite item would have to be the Knit Woven Dress in Vintage or Porcupine Pigment. I’m obsessed because it is so simply brilliant. It is very versatile – could be worn as a dress, or it could be worn with pants, it could be dressed up or dressed down! Perfect!

  33. I can’t help but dig the cropped hooded cardigan in black. Cardigans usually do not have a hood, which is both practical and adds a casual aspect under a staple leather jacket. And cropped for summer?! What more can I ask for when a surprise shower happens at the beach like it does so often in Hawaii??

  34. Living in an area with a very changeable climate I am only limited in my James Perse shopping by my budget. All my pieces from them have held up well with simple changes in layering/styling in all four seasons so it is hard to choose just one favorite piece. Although after racking my brain one piece definitely stood out simply for the fact that is probably the most worn, out of not only my James Perse collection but out of my whole wardrobe, the 3/4 sleeve raglan dress (owned in grey). It is perfect in summer on overcast days with scrunched up sleeves over a bathing suit, or with some colorful accessories and sandals to summer brunch. It works in fall and spring with a patterned top layered underneath, and a cardigan or blazer over it and some tights. Finally it is perfect for a comfortable school look layered over a long sleeved thermal shirt some scarves and thick leggings amongst the sea of pajamas and uggs.

  36. How do you pick just one? EESH!! I love so many! Being “Addicted” is an understatement!

I can’t imagine my summer without those black linen shorts, so cute so comfy and I can just see myself walking off the beach throwing on some heels and changing the whole look to go out on the town… Love, love, love!
