what goes around comes around vintage swap recap

Wearing
Zara leggings, vintage miller lite tee, vintage lace jacket, YSL heels, necklace is a chain belt from Banana, most other accessories are vintage.

Frieeeeeends, you are all the best! Thank you to everyone who came out for the 'What Goes Around Comes Around Vintage Swap' I co-hosted alongside my two boos, Monica Rose and Alexi Wasser. They are the bomb.com. Also, a special thank you to Grace for putting the event together (and including me), DJ Magdalena for the tracks and our lovely sponsors, Tito’s Vodka and KARMA California Brut.

If you didn't come you may be wondering what actually went down at this swap behind the closed doors at Space 15 Twenty. Basically, we got all wild wild West and traded goods the old fashioned way. It was epic and I highly recommend you put something similar together.

All you need are three racks (labeled A B and C), hang tags, friends and vintage. Wine would be a plus, music is mandatory.

Step 1 (hardest part): Show up with vintage! Rummage through your closet and get rid of all the trade worthy items you stare at in disdain. Acrylic balled up sweater, mehh not so much. I know you have bundles of this crap, just let go of it and trade for used new items!

Step 2: Appoint someone to be the vintage inspector. Inspector will examine each item and determine if it deserves an A B or C (A being the best). Collect respective hang tags based on your grades. Inspector places each item on the corresponding rack (if you get an A for a top that top goes on the A rack and you get to take something from the A rack).

Step 3: Act fast, go to town on your racks! I suggest loitering before you commitment (unless of course it is a vintage Dior ball gown - get the hell out if that is the case and don't look back).

Capiche? Simps, right? And everyone wins!

If you end up doing it please send along pictures and I'll post them here. Let's get some vintage trade love going - heel the world, lower our carbon footprints by wearing used clothing, be fabulous in cool Christmas sweaters.

Many more pics and further recap of the event on Monica Rose's blog.
