Oh Abbey! And a 'Where the Wild Things Are' theme? I heart you Dazed & Confused!
Btw, if you haven't gotten all creative while listening to the 'Where the Wild Things Are' soundtrack I suggest you post up with a canvas or journal or sewing machine or your craft of choice and get after it.

Due to budget cuts in California education, the Division of Textiles and Clothing at UC Davis is at a high risk of closing down. Since you love fashion and clothing you must understand the importance of the textiles and clothing industry.
Please support us by signing our petition at
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/save-the-division-of-textiles-and-clothing
UC Davis Textiles & Clothing research has led to the development of antimicrobial fibers for medical textiles as well as fibers that improve the performance of military, firefighter, and police gear. We are not design majors. We do not study any aspect of design or clothing construction. What we are is a major that focuses on fiber, polymer, and consumer science. We have alumni working on product and textiles development at The North Face, Jessica McClintock, BEBE, BCBG, Nordstrom, Glam Media, Guess, Burberry, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, Nike, 9.11 Tactical, and much more.
How could one even DESIGN clothing, shoes, and other accessories without the textiles/fabric that we do research for to MAKE them with?
The Chloe booties you wear on your feet, the whimsical chiffon dresses that float down runways, and even the fireproof jackets that firefighters wear to save lives are all products of the kind of research done by the textiles and clothing industry.
Help us spread the word!
SAVE TXC! SAVE CALIFORNIA'S ECONOMY!
What is the fashion industry without textiles and marketing?!?

What great advice- I totally need to get active on the sewing machine...alterations and repairs await me! Unfortunately I'm in Miami for a business trip until next week with no days off until next Friday! I guess it'll have to wait!
