Feast your eyes on Andrew Matusik's 'Sir Realist' editorial inspired my surrealist extraordinaire Rene Magritte. It's so refreshing, artistic, genius, surreal, I want to frame it.
Fun fact. Did you know that Paul McCartney, a life-long fan of Magritte who owns many of his paintings, claims that a Magritte painting inspired him to use the name Apple for the Beatles' media corporation? I know, totally amaaazing right?
The editorial was created for the Genlux winter issue, you can see moooooooore right here.

I died a billion and one times while reading each and every entry on Dating A Banker Anonymous (DABA). My ex is a banker and man do I have mayyyjah sympathy for anyone dating/dealing with a breakup with someone in the finance world right about now.
What is Dating A Banker Anonymous (DABA)? The story...
Are you or someone you love dating a banker? If so, Dating A Banker Anonymous (DABA) is here to support you through these difficult times. DABA is a safe place where women can come together – free from the scrutiny of feminists– and share their tearful tales of how the mortgage meltdown has affected their relationships.
DABA Girls was started by two best friends whose relationships tanked with the economy. Not knowing what else to do, they did what frustrated but articulate girls have done since the beginning of time - they started a blog. So if your monthly Bergdorf’s allowance has been halved and bottle service has all but disappeared from your life, lighten your heart with laughter and spend some time on Dating A Banker Anonymous.

I was filming some shizz at one of my favorite stores which called for major styling playtime. We combed through rack by rack picking out pieces that lit up our eyes and brought grins to our faces, you know that mmmmmmm this piece is unreal feeling?
Fun times! Once it's edited all will be revealed, I'm really excited about it and hope you will be too! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Jaclyn Johnson. Inspiration. Internet maven. Totally girl crushing.
More of her here, here and here and more of this photo shoot here.
And of course, best inauguration day in history. Check this out for one more big smile and perhaps another little tear.

Last month I shot an ad campaign for HYPE which was a ton of fun. I never realized how much work a full day shoot with multiple looks actually requires, new found respect.
Keep an eye out for it in look books, mags and billboards!

“Necklines are stretched and armholes are strategically lowered so that it looks worn in. It’s like sleeping in a T-shirt and then wearing it the next day. It’s not this crisp little T out of the dryer. It’s draped and kind of wilted.” - Alexander Wang

Stopped by new spot Deluxe last night which was a total hodge podge; Lakers, Hiltons, internet muses and celebuspawns. The place is cool, small which I tend to like, with lots of tables, 2 bars and single bathroom (bummer).
Earlier in the day I had tea with a friend who works for ELLE and she was sweet enough to bring the Feb issue which oozes Joe Zee and Kate Lanphear, they have such a vision. Page by page I was lusting over the ELLE styled spreads complete with sequins, leather, twill, gloves and the perfect mix of splurges/affordable pieces.
Clearly inspired by their styling I ended up wearing copious amounts of rings and bracelets last night. 2 of the rings, Queen Isabella and Queen Charlotte, were holiday presents from manu and from the moment I opened the little package either one or both of the rings have resided on my hand, it's true love, thank you again Manuela!
Wearing target jacket, manu rings, Lisa Freede and vintage bracelets, ? dress.

There is something so beautiful about a girl, a white tee, messy hair, no makeup and no inhibitions.

At the risk of sounding like a complete brat I've been pretty bored of the same old places in LA lately. You know how it is, you go, you dance, the same bar tender ignores you and you leave happy that you went out but remind yourself not to go there again for a while, at least a full 2 weeks.
Saturday night Z, Deb, Eddie, Spenc and I we went to hwood and even though it is a bunch of the same faces and djs and a club that we went to a few weeks ago with a different name and decor it still felt pretty fresh. I left with that little glowy feeling you get after a random fun night, you know, like you just got off of a roller coaster and have that big rush. I totally live for those moments.
