I found this vest a few months ago at Goodwill and smirked when I noticed the GAP branded buttons. GAP was totally the cool brand for a minute back in the day. Do you remember those GAP hoodies everyone was obsessed with? Man, times have really changed.

A friend who is a pretty rad designer suggested I patch the crap out of the vest and now I can't stop thinking about doing it. Thoughts?

The first time I met Val I was totally that awkward girl who immediately went on a rant about how much I love her diy's. But really, how could I not? Val is like the love child of high fashion do it yourself projects and I am a sucker for a night at home with a needle and thread. We quickly got past the awkwardness, accessorized away and attempted to take pictures with cameras we weren't really sure how to use.

Her latest project, this rad necklace hybrid, exemplifies why I am such a fan, it's easy, on trend and inexpensive so if you suck at it no biggie.

I've always been into blogs that are not in English, it's sort of like listening to jazz or rap songs in French, all about the art and your interpretation. Hanneli's blog is one of these.

I was first introduced to her when she was linked on Jak & Jil and since it seems like she is all over the interwebz. Her style is pretty killer, sophisticated with a personal touch that screams authenticity. She also photographs street style from wherever she is, writes for Norwegian mags and to round out her talents she is an ex-model, of course! More about the beauty here and on her blog.
