This is why I love modern art! I mean, seriously, can you imagine stumbling upon this in the middle of a park, the beach, St. Mark's Square?

Danny Roberts

For the last couple of years I've delightfully followed artist and blogger, Danny Roberts. His penchant for the arts and playful aesthetic send me into whimsical dreams painting after painting.

I was pretty excited and frankly shocked when he emailed me this portrait which is part of a larger project he is working on, the blogger portrait series.

Be sure to check out his blog here, I promise it is a treat: igorandandre.blogspot.com.

Thank you again, Danny! I feel touched and honored to be a part of your work.

interwebzzzz

The blog world opens the door to all sorts of new opportunities and people, Friday was a testament to that. 10 or so of us broke out of our shells and got together, most of us simply friends through the blogosphere that had never met before. A girl from ELLE, one who previously worked for Italian Vogue, an online vintage store owner, a famed blogger, an executive at Ford models, 2 publicists and others.

The night started at the Volcom/Nylon party where the models and Dani Stahl were rocking these crazy bobby pin fauxhawks. The hair was pretty unreal but I have a feeling that no matter how many cans of hairspray I go through it just won't happen for me. Hair that fierce calls for a professional.

Afterward we went to dinner and met up with Sophia from Nasty Gal Vintage who is an absolute doll. A few pasta dishes and lots of yapping later we rolled over to the Roosevelt for Justin Timberlake's rooftop party in honor of his new "901" tequila. There we met up with Jackie from Some Notes on Napkins and schmoozed for hours until the place was shut down.

It's pretty wonderful to meet girls from all over who share similar interests. I wish I had better and more pictures but my camera flash started smoking, literally, I know, weird.
Fun timezzzz and many more to come!

Dress, h&m. Vest, vintage. All jewelry vintage except the spike cuff which is from Nasty Gal (Thank you, Sophia!).

updating

Loved my friend Rebecca's combination of a bad 80's dress from forever she lost the receipt for and an AA mini. Check it.

I have a few of those bad purchases w/ no receipts I can go update. I bet you do too!

yowwwza

I think my dad would lock me in the house if I attempted to walk out in these 'Pretty Woman' looking boots. My grandpa on the other hand may agree with my grandma that they are really cool and then would proceed to make some sort of joke.

I hope everyone has a happy father's day! Especially you, dad and papa. xoxo

Stella McCartney's Resort 2010 colleciton is full of chic, simple and polished statement pieces for every occasion. Bonus, part of the line is 100% organic.

Feels a bit vintage inspired, right? I'm on a mission to recreate some of the looks for less, will report back.

Dree Hemingway rocking it out for Spur magazine (july issue). Fun city.

Btw, so over those Wang fringe boots. I want to rip them off her feet and throw her in some really pretty vibrant Nicholas Kirkwood's.

My favorite rings of all time are those my grandmother has given me. I feel especially close to her when I wear them all at once, similar to this Iossellian stack.
