Psssssst, calling all nail polish connoisseurs – this fall OPI is embarking on a European tour and its first stop is Switzerland!
“From the spiky peaks of the Alps to the chateaus of Lucerne the famous Bern bears, the rooftop of Europe was the inspiration for the 12 decadent shades that make up the ubiquitous nail lacquer’s Fall 2010 color collection.”
The cheeky shade names call to mind Swiss mainstays, like Glitzerland, a cool gold, Yodel Me on My Cell, a deep blue, Diva of Geneva, a vibrant pink red, and Color So Hot it Berns, a warm red.
The new collection will be available in August 2010 and will retail for $8.50 each.
Done and done.
“Switzerland provided the inspiration for this season, with a backdrop of snow-peaked mountains, lush glacial valleys, and glittering lakes,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “With luxurious hues across the color spectrum, the Swiss Collection features jeweled tones from ruby red to shimmering gold and everything in between.”
“The Swiss Collection features the same relaxed luxury that walked the fashion runways, where timeless shades of black, camel and cream were met with a wealth of jeweled emerald, sapphire, and gold,” explains Weiss-Fischmann. “Wearing these colors on fingers and toes will accessorize the season’s must-have pieces – from masculine-inspired tailored jackets contrasted with ultra-feminine dresses to beautiful bohemian garments with toughened touches of leather.”

These are awesome! I loveee nail polish, and while I admit that darker colors generally aren’t my thing, these would be p e r f e c t for the fall. Not to mention that the price is very reasonable compared to Chanel and Dior. The last two shades are by far my favorites!

I’m such a fan of OPI, they make the greatest nail polishes (I’ve forked over quite a bit of cash on the Sephora by OPI’s). Personally I’m eyeing that deep purple currant color!
Another thing I love about OPI is their clever names. I mean really, they’re pretty creative! And trendy!

Check your nearest ULTA location! I saw little baby samples of this collection for sale. Great colors. They also still have their “Shrek Forever” collection for sale with that fun bright green and other creative colors.
