Last week my grandfather passed away.
While my heart is pretty broken, day-by-day, as I remember the man he was, I find myself uplifted.
Papa would always ask about my blog (or as he called it, my “blob”). He’d crack joke after joke, sometimes being horrifyingly politically incorrect (which he somehow always got away with), and make us laugh until our faces hurt. Whether he was joining my siblings and me for a bike ride, teaching us Yiddish, or the lessons he taught us on the golf course, he brought us all together while making each of us feel special. We’d spend hours together, sharing the moments that mattered most - many of which were over pancakes and eggs; some of which were spent grazing at Costco.
A dentist (he’d slip us candy that’d rot our teeth). A husband. A father. A grandfather. A role model. A best friend. A renaissance man. Our Papa was the most loving person I’ve ever known. He brought joy to so many people. And, although he is no longer here, his memory will live on in all of us. His success in life and the family that he built is a legacy that we will carry on.
We owe who we are to you. Thank you Papa.
I love you.
Cute little pick me up.
Apologies for the delay in posts. I'm going through a really rough time. Will be back to the grind in the next couple of days.
xo,
G

Snuggling up with tea and magazines in oversized sweaters is the ultimate during this rainy season. Especially when the sweater is as intriguing as this Bodkin Braided Caos number.

Loving her and her Topshop jacket. And her jewelry, obvz.

Last week, we got a peek inside Coco Rocha's Manhattan apartment, and now some snaps of Vanessa Traina's West Village apartment have pleasantly popped up in Bazaar.
"The Selby shot Vanessa Traina's West Village apartment for Bazaar magazine in what may be the biggest eff-you to PETA since Giorgio Armani designed fur coats for babies. In addition to couches full of pillows made from some unidentified hairy creature, Traina has a king-sized fur bedspread, a tiger-skin rug (snarling head still attached) and a large taxidermied zebra that her dad sent her when she moved in. More photos of her place, as captured by The Selby's Todd Selby here.

One-shoulder puff dresses, ruffled LBDs, textured trenches, and tuxedo tops are exactly what we'd all hoped Alber Elbaz would diffuse for his H&M collection. The full collection hits stores in November (that's 30 pieces and 15 accessories for women, and 25 pieces and 10 accessories for men).
J'amazing! Let the counnnnntdown begin!

This week marks the busiest of my life. The getting dressed half asleep thing has dubbed me the mix master queen. Pajama pants on accident with lace up wedge boots, my boyfriends worn-the-day-before-and-was-on-the-floor-button-up and a leather jacket did happen. Oddly enough..nobody noticed!
p.s. I went to sleep at 9pm last night. Personal record. And this busyness is all for really awesome business (<--nerdiest sentence ever?). Excited to share in the next several months.

Feeling the zipper detailing that's popping up everywhere. May need to hit up the garment district to pick up a few zipper strands...I have a sweatshirt that is just itching for a makeover.

From food, to vintage and decor I caught up with Refinery 29's Kate Mulling to share five of my favorite LA spots. Was merely impossible to narrow it down but there are some places that really just are your fave.
Cheeeeeck it out: My LA: Geri Hirsch
Thank you Kate and Refinery 29! xx
