I love looking at people's bookshelves because I feel really connect with others through the things they put bookshelves. We don't even need to be friends, just let me see your bookshelf.
I've always said that when I move to NY I will have a loft, and this pretty much seems like one that I will love to have (just make it a little more minimalistic and less messier) But overall it's something I will really like :)
