I’m not one to brush a smokey eye on my lids all that often but when I do I must admit that I feel ultra glam.

Thanks to Jason Wu and Diane Kendal the sexy, smudgy glam factor just went WAY UP with a metallic touch created with a dash of rose  glitter.  Easy enough, right?  Here’s how makeup artist Diane Kendal achieved the look:

“We wanted the eyes to reflect light and give that feeling of summer,” said Kendal. She traced a coffee-colored pencil (Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Black Coffee) close to the lash line and along the crease, making a half-moon shape. Then, using a medium-sized flat brush, she smudged Lancôme’s Color Design Eye Brightening All-in-One 5 Shadow & Liner Palette in Bronze Amour, a shimmery brown shadow, on top, leaving a tiny empty space in the center of the lid. That’s where she patted loose gold glitter for a brilliant, reflective shine. She finished with a black eyeliner and lots of black mascara (Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara).

As for the rest of the face, Kendal started by applying a light veil of foundation (Lancôme Teint Visionnaire Skin Correcting Makeup Duo) to even out skin. Keeping the rest of the look minimal, she brushed a beige-peach blush onto cheeks (Lancôme Natural Glow Blush Subtil in Cedar Rose), brushed brows into place, and slicked on a sheer moisturizing lip balm (Lancôme Baume in Love in Rose in Love).
