Tired of an old pair of jeans in your closet? Give them a nice revamp with this tie-dye bleach, acid wash effect.

Throw them on with simple black pumps and a plain white tee, and you’re all set. Here’s the step-by-step on how to do it:

Instructions:
1. Find an old pair of jeans you’d like to revamp & lay flat on a table
2. Starting from the ankle, gather a small bunch of denim & twist together tightly, then fasten with a sturdy rubber band
3. Repeat up the leg, all the way to the waist
4. Once done, secure entire leg with one large rubber band
5. Repeat on other leg (remember to do the backside!)
6. Fill a bucket half way with warm water, then wearing rubber gloves add half of a small bottle of bleach
7. Outside, completely submerge the jeans underwater
8. Allow them to soak for 15-30 minutes, depending on desired fade (the longer they soak, the lighter they’ll be)
9. Remove from the bleach mix then soak in cold water for 15 minutes, to set the color
10. Run them through washing cycle twice & then dry

  1. Wonderful idea. I’m gonna try this with my old jeans. Acid-washed jeans are one of today’s trends, perfect for a summer outfit paired with over-sized or crop tops. 🙂
