5 Ways To Look Less Hungover

The dreaded hangover….we’ve all been there! Luckily there are ways to fight it beyond sunglasses and Advil.  Nutritionist Steve Macari recently shared his hangover cheat sheet with Harpers Bazaar and the tips are pretty darn good! My 5 favorite:

Before going to bed:

Eat a piece of fruit that’s high in fructose, like an apple, grapes or watermelon. “Fructose is a type of sugar that helps your liver detoxify alcohol more efficiently, meaning less of a hangover,” says Macari.

Take a vitamin B1 supplement. “This essential vitamin gets depleted rapidly when you drink,” says Macari.

Remove your makeup and apply an overnight mask. Our pick: Olay Regenerist Luminous Sleeping Gel Mask—vitamin B3 and mulberry extract brighten, hydrate and keep puffiness at bay.

Put your eye cream and moisturizer in the fridge for cool refreshment in the morning.

And when you wake up drink a combination of 8 oz. water, 4 oz. coconut water, 4 oz. orange juice and a pinch of sea salt.

  2. These tips are so helpful! I usually don’t get drunk but when I do, I atleast follow two of these tips; eating a fruit and drinking a lot of water/coconut water. I also keep a grated cucumber pack prepared in the refrigerator before a drinking spree. I apply it for 5-10mins before I doze off.
