A Plea For Positive Perseverance

This isn’t a political blog and never will it be, but it feels inauthentic to simply ignore what’s going on in the USA right now. To be honest with you guys, I’m devastated. But instead of focusing on my personal travesty and feeding fire to an already negative campaign for our new president, I want to focus on perseverance.

I was raised to be a humble, respectful, kind, open-hearted person who has the same amount of love for ALL people, no matter what. I was also raised to get back up when something doesn’t go my way and to never, ever give up on what’s important to me. That is what I believe in and how I’ll raise possible future children, no matter what happens in Washington. And I think that’s so important to remember, especially now.

No matter who runs this country, it is up to each individual to show compassion in times of chaos. To keep fighting for what you believe in. To do whatever you can each day to better the world. And to spread as much love as humanly possible.

It’s not a time to focus on the drastic differences in our nation, but instead embrace the right to have differences and the chance to voice them. Now is the time to keep fighting for the differences you believe in, and to show support where you choose. It’s when we must see the good in every single person we share this country with.

We must accept what is and move forward, with nothing but love and light in our souls. I know I’ll personally be focusing on what I can do to make this a better place to live, each and every day. Will you join me?

I want to leave you with some of my favorite quotes, pre- and post-election. Even with a country so divided, the amount of positive perseverance is what will get us to a better place. Sending virtual hugs to all; please pass them on.

  1. This was such a beautiful and inspiring post. Thank you so much. I really needed this. It inspired me to also voice my thoughts on my blog. I just didn’t feel right about not speaking out when my blog is a place where I can express myself in any way shape or form. I do not want to filter my blog in that way because that is not how I want my audience to see me, you know? I feel like you would understand.

Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for writing this.
    It was so inspiring.
