You know those Q&A’s in magazines where they ask people to describe their style in three words? I always love reading those, and when it comes to answering that question myself I know one thing is for certain, the word “sexy” would not be a word I would use.

I’ve always identified with being “cute” or “stylish” (as my grandmother would say) but “sexy”? Not so much.

Now that I’m in my 30’s, I’ve noticed that feeling and dressing sexier has gotten a little more appealing to me. Maybe it’s because I’m more comfortable with my body, because my confidence has blossomed, or because IDGAF, but it’s something I’ve noticed myself exploring. And by exploring, I mean taking BABY steps towards unleashing my Sacha Fierce.

Case in point: this outfit.

Yes, it’s still a turtleneck, yes, I’m in jeans, and yes, I’m wearing outerwear over it (I said baby steps!) but for me, the sheer top was risque. And I liked it.

What are you wearing that makes you feel sexy?

Wearing: Arrive Clothing Zadie Power Mesh Turtleneck, La Perla bra, Capulet duster (similar here), Citizen of Humanity Dree Crop High Rise Slim jeans, Stuart Weitzman MorePearls Sandal, Celine 41026 sunglasses & vintage Chanel bag

  1. I know what you mean. I’m in my late 20s and never liked dressing sexy but lately I’ve been owning it. Something is in the water!
