7 Products to Make 2018 the Best Yet

One of my favorite things to read on other people’s sites is about the products that basically changed their lives. With literally endless products circulating, it’s hard to know which ones are worth the hard-earned money and which are duds. So, I thought it’d be fun to do one here – as certain things in my life really stick out and make my days better. And who doesn’t want that? I’m hoping you’ll share your must-have products in the comments, too!

Cordless vacuum

This might make me officially old, but I don’t even care. I always had a love/hate relationship with vacuuming because it does make such a difference in a short amount of time, but the weight of the vacuum, changing the plug all over the house, and so on, made the experience less than pleasurable. Enter, a cordless vacuum! Literally genius, but somehow it’s taking 30+ years to buy one.

I’m obsessed with this one – it’s affordable and I use it every single day. Hair on the floor after blow drying? Bye! An easy way to clean up spilled quinoa? Right here!

Brightening serum

I’m a huge fan of skincare, and 2017 was definitely one of buying and trying new products. The one that stood out the most? This brightening serum. It’s really diminished my sunspots from high school tanning days, and my skin just looks much healthier due to it. This is a restock on restock in my medicine cabinet (though it lasts forever).

Lounge pants

As someone who works from home, I’ve had a hard time finding an outfit that is suitable. My actual PJs happened for a long time, but I felt pretty sluggish by 11 a.m. in my flannel pants. And jeans just weren’t going to happen if they didn’t have to.

After LOTS of trial and error, these joggers have become my BFF. They are insanely comfortable and look cute pair with a graphic t-shirt for work – or even running out to get coffee.

Clean candle

I go a little crazy with candles in my house (it just sets the mood for happiness, doesn’t it?), but it wasn’t until 2017 that I realized how many chemicals some have – and how much they can pollute the air in your home. So, I went on a mission to find clean candles that last and smell good. This one from Sandoval smells like you’re at the spa and it’s clean, fresh, and so freaking yummy. I always get compliments when I’m burning it!

Texture subscription

I’m a magazine feen, but a few years ago, I realized how wasteful it was to go through novels of magazines each month. Also, they kinda sat there like a to-do list on my coffee table (“you have to read all of those!”) instead of pleasurable moments like they’re supposed to be.

Texture is an online mag subscription and I haven’t looked back since making the switch online. It’s like 10 bucks a month, there are tons of great mags, you aren’t wasting trees, AND you can read them at your will (they don’t delete after a month or anything). I keep them on my iPad and are great for traveling or a Sunday full of inspo.

A card holder

I tried to simplify life in 2017, and one of my ways of doing this was a smaller wallet aka a card holder. Long gone is my huge, bulky wallet (though I keep that in my desk drawer since it does have a lot of random-sometimes-needed cards). If you can get away with only carrying a handful of cards and minimal cash, I highly suggest this simplified version of a wallet!

NutriBullet

One of my healthiest changes I made last year was upping my smoothie consumption. To start pretty much every day, I made a smoothie full of greens, fruit, and other superfoods. The NutriBullet is way easier than a standard blender and much less intimidating to clean. It also serves as a cup, so I literally stick a straw in it and boom – a healthy breakfast to go. I heart you, NutriBullet!

And there you have it! The products that made my life a lot better last year – and I hope they can do the same for you in 2018! Don’t forget to share your fave products below.
