Intense studding and multiple safety pins that amount to embroidery hit
Christophe Decarnin's Balmain Spring 2011 RTW runway in a serious way.

"It's a look I've always liked," the designer said backstage. "I keep pictures of it all over my office."

Helllooo DIY-central. Buy safety pins while you can...

More of the collection here.

HAVE NO WORDS for this collection:DD

Aside from the obvious detail work that I adore, the color palette and look is VERY similar to Isabel Marant's Fall 2010 show, Don't you think?

Decarnin's work is absolutely fantastic. You can see he worked at Gaultier, yet has truly developed his own style. At LFW, it seemed everyone was wearing Balmain-inspired clothing!

I feel as though Balmain has done the same thing for at least three seasons now, in saying that i can understand why! This stuff is amazing! Makes me wish i was a tough enough B**ch to pull it off! I can't get enough of ripped shirts right now (which is real good for my pocket since all i need is hands and some muscle to create a rip lol).

Great blog too. You have some pretty sweet posts.

Keep up the rad work xx www.worned.blogspot.com

OH!!! nom nom nom... the collection is delicious. in the non-literal sense, obviously. because with all those safety pins and studs that would hurt. yummmmmy nonetheless! x

Love these jackets, and the fresh-faced makeup. Just beautiful. I may have to try out a safety pin tee like in the third pic, only maybe a little less messy-looking.

Thanks for sharing!
