jon shireman’s broken flowers

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
This is what happens when flowers are soaked in liquid nitrogen for 30 minutes and are then photographed after being catapulted at a very high speed onto a white surface. We can all thank New York photographer, Jon Shireman, for discovering such rad a thing.

p.s. if  you're into this you may also like qi wei's 'exploded flowers.'

3 more after the jump!

Very beautiful. I like the 3rd flower. It almost feels like claymation.
