How lovely is Kara Rosenlund’s Queensland, Australia cottage? The photographer and prop stylist purchased the then un-renovated cottage with her husband Tim in 2010 and have since made it their own by filling the very white space with their eclectic and rustic finds.
There are so many great details to take note of like the arched windows as a headboard, the stacks of mismatched plates in the kitchen, the old orchard ladder in the living room and the layers of hats, bags and books amongst an endless supply of knickknacks.
So what serves as Kara’s ultimate inspiration? “Mother Nature is absolutely the best designer, decorator and stylist,” she says.
You can more about her home and inspiration here.
p.s. the incredible photography on the walls was shot by her and are available for purchase here

Usually not one for the rustic vibe but this house looks so cozy and warm! I love the balance between white and brown! Perfect combo!
