minty fresh

Hold the phone! Both Lulu and my roomie sent an image of Peter Philips’ dreamy, limited edition, jade lacquer for Chanel’s Fall 2009 collection this morning and therefore I must share.

Unfortunately, the Chanel collection (joined by a jade rose shade) won’t be released until October so I took the liberty of finding an available and cheaper solution for your next mani, Gargantuan Green Grape by OPI. Sidenote, outside of this shade OPI has an pretty extensive and unreal matte collection. You can thank me later (I prefer dark over milk chocolate but will accept fine jewelry if you must!).

Matte nails are the new neon!

  1. I still like a little shimmer in my nail polish at the moment, but I’m all for matte eyeshadow these days. With skin brightening products and blushes and bronzers with a hint of shimmer in them, a sparkly/shimmery eyeshadow seems like overkill.

  2. Yes, I now, that nail polish should be the next big thing. While waiting for Chanel, you can try Barry M in Spring Green or Mint Green, both available on Asos.com (but they ship this brand only to UK) or through barrym.com that ship worldwide. They’re really affordable too!

  3. Thank you for this wonderful news. i might have to run out and get the opi version of it. Just so I can have that shade of green.

  4. I need to try that color asap! I am a fan of non classic colors. Right now iam wearing a nude nailpolish.

  5. Have you ever heard of Manglaze? They’re selling matte nailpolish in black and silvergrey. You should really check em up if you haven’t already. You will have to thank me later (I prefer beautiful high heels) haha. xx

  6. I own gargantuan green grape and the color is actually quite different than the jade chanel polish. It is more of a yellowish green and much brighter, more neon. A better option is “hey get in lime” from OPI.
