Blueberry’s + fresh bleu cheese + nectarines + walnuts = crack.

If bleu cheese does not offend you and blueberries don’t give you those awkward cheek rashes then you NEED this salad in our life.

I picked up all of the ingredients while walking through Pike Place Market in Seattle (where I died nineteen million times) and ended up throwing them together in a desperate attempt for a last minute salad. It turned out to be the deliciousness.

Since then I’ve recreated the concoction as a bruschetta – add to a beautiful baguette, toast until the blueberries look like they may burst then drizzle with honey – ohhmygoshhhhh it’s heaven in a bite.

  1. Oh wow…I love the idea of putting it on a piece of toast like bruschetta. I personally hate lettuce (besides butter lettuce). For me it’s just a vessel for more awesome stuff like blueberries, walnuts, etc., so I usually just eliminate it all together.

  2. Hey Geri – I made this bruschetta last night and my boyfriend was so impressed! Thnx for the inspiration!
