Blueberry’s + fresh bleu cheese + nectarines + walnuts = crack.
If bleu cheese does not offend you and blueberries don’t give you those awkward cheek rashes then you NEED this salad in our life.
I picked up all of the ingredients while walking through Pike Place Market in Seattle (where I died nineteen million times) and ended up throwing them together in a desperate attempt for a last minute salad. It turned out to be the deliciousness.
Since then I’ve recreated the concoction as a bruschetta – add to a beautiful baguette, toast until the blueberries look like they may burst then drizzle with honey – ohhmygoshhhhh it’s heaven in a bite.

Ah…you came to Seattle and we missed you? 🙁
yum look at all that cheese!!! that looks like a marvelous market, love it
Wow. I think my mouth was watering while reading this entire post! I love PIke Place, and the versatility of a salad transforming to brushetta on a bagel makes it sound so deliciously appetizing. Thanks for the post!

I would love you to visit.xx Katie.x
Oh wow…I love the idea of putting it on a piece of toast like bruschetta. I personally hate lettuce (besides butter lettuce). For me it’s just a vessel for more awesome stuff like blueberries, walnuts, etc., so I usually just eliminate it all together.
oh that sounds amazing, esp as the bruchetta. yyuumm, so will be trying this!
Great post, thanks for sharing- delicious!
Delish!
im drooling, i can not stand bleu cheese though. definitely going to recreate it with feta!
