I never quite understood why everything Hermès was astronomical until I watched ‘Hearts and Crafts‘ (which if you haven’t seen I highly HIGHLY recommend).

Ever since devouring the beautiful documentary I’ve found myself completely enamored with the Hermès craftsmanship, discipline and precision. Did you know that each bag is affectionately crafted by a single artisan from start to finish?

In a world of fast food, fast fashion and disposable everything I have such respect for the level of quality they uphold.

“The beauty of the material calls for the perfection of the work, even if it can’t be seen. The bottom must be worthy of the top, and the inside the outside.” Colette, 1942

  1. This all looks so incredible!! I would love to see the workshop in person and get more of an idea behind the sky high prices and beautiful craftmanship.
