How stunning are these macro shots of snowflakes by Russian photographer Alexey Kljatov? His extensive series features a wide range of designs in the form of hexagons, triangles, branches and cylinders capturing nature at it’s best.
Kljatov constructed an add-on to his camera in order to obtain the insanely close focus and illuminates the ice with a flashlight. With this, he’s able to isolates single snowflakes and capture their unique and delicate beauty.

Holy crap, this is crazytown. They remind of elementary school and cutting out paper snowflakes. This is a beautiful reminder that nature really does create the most special things in life.

Very beautiful So the nature makes these forms indeed like cut with machine.
Absolutely stunning!
I remember catching a glimpse of a beautiful snowflake after falling down at the playground while in grade school. Fascinating indeed.
Are these real? I would really love them to be real… but they’re just so incredible that I can’t believe they are!
