Welcome to what is now my old bedroom (which you may recognize from my Instagram bedroom selfies)! I lived in this Hollywood apartment for quite a few years and moved out once I got engaged but not before snapping these pictures.

I really loved this bedroom. I felt exactly the way I like to feel in my room: safe, calm and serene.

When I moved in, I painted the walls a soft periwinkle to help bounce soft, beautiful, ethereal light around the room. I kept everything else pretty clean and simple and subtly layered in texture.

I lived there alone and took full advantage of that by keeping most of my accessories out in plain sight. Lining my dresser with racks of necklaces, bracelets, rings and sunglasses added a personal touch of unexpected decor. It also made getting ready a bit easier but in effort to not over do it I tried to adhere to Coco Chanel’s advice, “before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.”

Anywho, I’m grateful to have had this beautiful room which saw me through really tough times and also some of the greatest times of my life. I’m also grateful to have beautiful pictures to remember the room by and am excited to share them with you.
