Apple cider vinegar is having a moment and it’s for good reason. ACV is one of those miracle ingredients, just like coconut oil, that has an incredible amount of internal and external health benefits, such as fighting acne (try this DIY face toner) and helping to balance our body’s pH. On top of the health and beauty benefits, there are countless ways to use it around your house as an all-natural cleaner.

So invest in a bottle now (I love using 100% Organic, Raw, Unfiltered, such as Bragg), because here’s 10 Apple Cider Vinegar hacks that will change your life:.

CLEANING:

  1. Polishes Wood: Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 2 cups of water & 2 tbsp olive oil. Dampen cloth and polish!
  2. Removes Grease: Mix 1:1 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water into a spray bottle.
  3. Kills Weeds: Mix 2:1 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water into a spray bottle & spray weeds.

HEALTH:

  1. Soothes Sore Throats: Mix 1:1 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water, gargle for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Alleviates Foot Odor: Mix 1:2 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water, spray onto feet. The ACV smell will dilute in about 5 minutes and leave you with no scent!
  3. Fights Bad Breath: Mix 1:2 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water, gargle for 30 seconds.
  4. Balances Your Digestive System: Make a refreshing drink with 1 oz apple cider vinegar included (try this ‘Get Glowing’ Limeade – I do this every morning and love it)

BEAUTY:

  1. Alleviates Bumps & Bruises: Dab apple cider vinegar onto cotton pad and soothe.
  2. Fights Dandruff: Mix 1:2 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water, spray lightly on scalp.
  3. Clears Skin: Mix 1:2 ratio of apple cider vinegar & water, spray directly onto skin and allow to dry. It might smell for a few moments but it will dilute.

  1. Actually, apple cider vinegar regularly used internally (or occasionally, it depends on your body) burns a whole in the stomach, its way way too acid for most people.

  2. Apple cider vinegar is such a useful and handy little thing to have 🙂 I remember there was a DIY mask that I made before with ACV that really helped to clear up my skin. I’ve always known about the health factors, but I never knew it could be used to polish wood too! Haha I’ll definitely try that out soon!

  3. Thank you for all of those tips, I’ll try them out! I’ve been fascinated with apple cider vinegar recently, as it’s doing great job at keeping my acne-prone skin under control. I’ve tried making a toner, but for me the smell is rather unbearable. Plus, my skin is very sensitive, so I prefer not to leave it on. A great alternative in my opinion is making a homemade face mask. I mix 1 tablespoon of honey with the same amount of ACV and put it on my skin for about 10 minutes, then I wash it off. That way my skin doesn’t get smelly, and this combo is really good at healing + nourishing the skin. For me it works like an enzymatic peeling, I really love it.

  4. Really cool hacks! I know that cleaning with vinegar is very efficient and also better for the environment and health. The only problem is that the smell is very irritating and my husband doesn’t like when I am cleaning with vinegar. I really want to somehow fix this issue so I can continue cleaning with vinegar! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
