I went to New York a few weeks back to meet with editors about βThe Year of Wellnessβ which was both wildly exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. We had 10(!!!) meetings in the course of 1 day which were spread all around town. We were in and out of cabs, on and off the subway, and racing between the Time and Conde Nast building hour by hour.
It was all such a rush – meeting with fancy editors and proudly sharing the YOW. While meeting with W, I thought, if the younger version of myself could see me now, sheβd be proud. Fast-forward to later that evening, I sat down on the plane and the 33-going-on-75 version of myself thought, eeeeeeek! what a day, my feet really ache!
We flew back to LA, and when I got home I immediately tossed off my boots and drew up a little peppermint lemon foot soak to help alleviate the swelling and pain. I let my sore feet simmer, massaging the left and then the right alternately for 20 minutes, then tucked away to bed. The next morning I stepped out of bed anticipating aches and pains (see, told you, going on 75!), but to my surprise my feet felt anew.
Here’s how to make the peppermint lemon foot soak yourself:
Fill a foot tub or bathtub with warm water. Add juice of two freshly squeezed lemons, 5-8 peppermint oil drops (I like these) and 1/2 Epsom salt to water, give it a little swish, soak feet & enjoy!

I remember when I was around 10 years old, I had been walking around a city all day and my feet were so sore. I went into the body shop and the woman was like we have this new peppermint spray and foot lotion! She then proceeded to try it out and it worked wonders! Never looked back since! x
