As fun as it was to dress the bump in all sorts of different ways – jumpsuits, suits, pants, kimonos, etc. – there was something liberating about entering into what I like to call the “stretchy knits phase.” And by “stretchy knits phase,” I mean, by month eight or so, I really didn’t fit into much else other than stretchy knits (or jersey) so that’s all I really wore.
I bought a few different knits that all felt different like a navy turtleneck knee length dress, a black sleeveless dress adorned with gold buttons down the front, a knit striped skirt, this tight camel knit, etc. and found ways to re-work these pieces to make them feel fresh day in and day out. I was so comfortable, and knowing that one of the stretchy knits would be my base everyday brought great ease to getting ready, something I’d like to figure out how to replicate post-bebe.
What’s your go-to uniform RN?
Wearing: H&M stretchy knit, Anine Bing jacket & Anine Bing boots
**Please note, I’ve already had my baby and am on maternity leave. XX
