It’s time for an updated list of the best non-toxic cleaning products. Because as you can imagine, now that we have a bebe, I’ve become even more vigilant about using the safest products possible – without comprising cleanliness – around our home.
Why does this matter? The harsh chemicals in cleaning products are SERIOUS and scientifically proven to induce asthma, cause cancer, disrupt hormones, cause birth defects, etc. so it’s best to skip them all together and opt for safer products (or make them if you wish – not something I’m personally doing, but hey, go for it!).
So, before you spray or wipe down anything around your home, be sure to read labels carefully. Even products that you may think are good might be sneaky! The basic things to avoid: fragrance, “antibacterials” (triclosan, quarternary ammonium compounds), foaming agents like Cocamidopropyl betaine.
And as for the safest? Here is a list of the best, cleanest, non-toxic cleaning products that I’ve seriously researched, cross-referenced on the EWG and put to the test for all of your cleaning needs:

I wish everyone would make the switch to safer cleaning cleaning products! There are so many good options available. If you haven’t heard of Norwex yet, be sure to check it out. Sounds like it would be right up your alley!
Thank you for this! I actually saw Aunt Fannies products at my local grocery store today and wanted to stop and check them out but I didn’t have the time to on this quick trip but I will definitely be picking some up next time.
