Slices in unexpected but appropriate (ehhh hem ‘Mean Girls‘) places always do it for me. It adds the element of surprise that I love about fashion.
Top, minimarket. Bottom, american retro. Both shown at Copenhagen fashion week.
Now, time to get wild with vintage tops and scissors. Diyyyyyyyy elbow project, anyone?

Yea, DIY for sure! Ever since I saw your post on that silk Acne top with cut off shoulders, I’ve been wondering what shirt from my closet I could afford to slash up, with hopes of not messing up on my first try. π Let me know how yours go!
I have a top very similar to the last photo. I gotta get it out and wear it! I love cutouts.

DIYing never turns out so hot for me. Besides I can’t afford to sacrifice any pieces at the moment, ha.
so. I took a break from fashion blogging for a bit. But I’m back and happy to see you’re doing so well… considering I can buy your face at f21! go girl. π
Definitely! I like the second one, personally. First one’s okay. But I enjoy shoulder cleavage…hehe.

Ooouuuuh! Wow,… I saw a girl blogger do that ( shoulder cutoff) like DIY style a couple of months ago…
I might try to do it myself π

OOH Yeah! DIY on the elbow sounds like a great idea! It may be a good idea to do a trial run on a non-visible-from-the-outside lining of the shirt first before starting to hack away at the elbows. Never know when the fabric is going to fray like mad.
Love your blog!

I have too many shirts in my closet, i’m definitely cutting off some shoulders today!
I think both would be great DIYs! If you go through with it, mind showing the results on here? π
Yeah, I’m definitely going to make a DIY with that top picture! It looks absolutely awesome π
This new trend is great. I love editing clothes and I am glad that with this new trend it will be an easy fun experiment. I recently just bought a LEYENDECKER blazer that had the rips in the back, I could wear it everday.
The first pic is definitely a DIY project!!
