Two hair trends I’m obsessing over:
1. Balayage (see Harley Viera Newton on the right of the first pic). Balayage is a French word that means ‘to sweep.’ It’s a highlighting method which lightens the hair gradually from root to tip using a brush, no foil. After a decade of not dying my hair I just did it at Andy LeCompte and it’s seriously too legit to quit.
2. Shorter locks. Short blunt straight hair is so chic and fresh and modern. If only I had the balls to do it…

Agh I’ve loved balayage since it hit Australia about 2 years ago but alas I love my blonde hair and think if I bleach the end any more they’ll fall off!! Booo.
Maybe I’ll go the opposite way?

Love the balayage thing…it’s like the more subtle sister of the ombre thing that’s been going on. I think I might have to ask my stylist about it when I go get my hair done in a couple of days! Great blog!

Who do you see at Andy Lecompte?! I get my hair done there by Denis…he’s the guy who does Rachel Bilson’s infamous look and is uhmmaayyyzzzinnggg. I love balyage because you don’t have to get touchups for like a year. It’s so cost-effective. You must post a picture of your new hair I want to see it!
I like both too and had been thinking about cutting mine, but i’m going to keep it long & go with #1. Mostly because my hair takes FOREVER to grow!
I’m trying to grow my bangs out for a cut like the second look but I’m not very patient…
I’ve been wishing I had the balls to chop my hair for a while, yet it is still long. Maybe this summer.
