Need to shorten your pants quickly but don’t have time to go to the tailor? We’ve all been there. That’s why we at LEAF teamed up with our friend and designer, Heidi Merrick, to show you how to hem your own pants and honestly, it’s not as hard as I thought (promise, just watch the video).

My boyfriend just actually asked me to hem his new work pants and I was like no way no how will I be able to do that, but you made it look so simple I might give it a go!

The sewing part is when I would screw things all the way up. Great infographic though!
brilliant. because i have a sewing machine, my loved ones are always asking me to hem their clothing. i’m bookmarking this to send. thanks.
How do you make sure both legs are even? That seems like it would be the hardest part.
Can Heidi, or someone else suggest a school, or person who can teach sewing – a class(es) I can take? I mean like REAL sewing, with patterns, etc ;), not just hemming pants. PLEASE, thank you!
Thank you! I wanted a place I could learn to hem my daughters pants without having to cut them. I am going to try this.
