A full day at work can be extremely taxing on your mind and body – no matter if you’re on your feet or sitting at a desk. These 7 tips can help you ‘productively’ unwind, re-energizing your mind to become inspired to save some time for yourself. After all, that’s what life is about isn’t it?
1. Meditate: Concentrating on your breath helps ease tension and fills you with oxygen.
2. Plants: Plants add oxygen to the air which has a calming effect. Check out these floral tutorials you can try at home.
3. Tea: Herbal teas (like chamomile) have a soothing effect. Try this wellness tea.
4. Stretch It Out: Doing a short yoga practice alleviates tension. This tutorial is particularly energizing.
5. Foot Soak: A relaxing epson salt soak helps reduce stress from the bottom up! This is a great recipe.
6. Technology Off: Shutting down your devices helps the mind to rest.
7. Face Mask: Applying your favorite mask helps calm from the top down! Try this yummy pumpkin mask recipe.

All very useful tips! One other thing I like to do at the end of a very long day is a 10 minute session using the ‘Calm’ app…if it was a really bad day? Back to back sessions, haha.

Thank you so much for these simple little things that we can do to destress from work 🙂 Haha the tea and stretching really helps, especially after a long day of sitting.

Love these tips. Should more of these every day. I try to meditate regularly. Also turning off technology would be so great if I could actually do it. I’ll try a nice foot bath for sure next week 🙂
‘Technology off’ is a major one for me! I find that once I ‘mute’ that little world, I am as ‘zen’ as can be!

Thank you, lovely tips. I forget to do facials regularly and now will do one tonight. I meditate, drink green tea and stretch, which I will do right now!

Teas and face masks for sure! I also like to do some yoga, it’s exercise, but it’s not as tiring as running is for me (:

I always choose tea and a hot bath (perfect – with a paper book) after a long day. Works perfect for me. Should also try masks, thanks for an idea:)

meditation along with 20-30 mins of yoga always gets the job done, for me! A foot soak is what I need somedays, I should invest in a foot tub 😀
