We recently spent a week in Costa Rica, which was incredible. We surfed, snorkeled, kayaked, swam and lived in the water. It was what vacation dreams are made of for everything BUT my hair – the salt water and sun combined with using hotel shampoo/conditioner stripped my hair and sucked the life right out of it (ehhh hemm the first two pictures of this post).
When we got back home I didn’t have the four hours needed to get a cut/color so I researched brunette pick me-ups I found John Frieda® Hair Care’s revolutionary new Brilliant Brunette® in-shower treatments, shampoos and conditioners and thought they looked interesting. Then the brand reached out to me about working together andI figured, why not give it a try?
I started using the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ shampoo and conditioner with the hopes of warming up my color and accentuating the sun-kissed Costa Rica glow. After a good week, which for me was 3 washes, my hair was brighter and shinier. I finally had that just-off vacation hair I was hoping for (doesn’t it look better?! – I’m wearing the grey sweatshirt in the after photos).
Have you ever heard of these products? Never before has a brunette had so many options to add to or tweak color at home!

Oh my gosh, they have a brunette line now?! 😀 In the past, I used their line for blondes, and it actually really helped bring out the golden tones in my hair, but this brunette one sounds lovely! <3 Can't wait to try! Your hair looks so pretty!
