Some mornings there is simply not enough time to make coffee AND breakfast. Or maybe you’re just too lazy to make both (ehhh hemm, me!). Either way, leaving the house without caffeine and breakfast is not OK for anyone involved.
Enter my favorite caffeine-jolting breakfast option: The cold brew coffee smoothie, yummmm!
This coffee-breakfast combo is the perfect solution to nix caffeine fiend and hunger, and to save precious minutes of sleep. Crafted to jump start your day, this smoothie is full of nutrients including cacao which has a high concentration of antioxidants, coconut oil for healthy fats, almond butter for fiber, banana for potassium, and Himalayan salt to maintain a healthy pH balance. Here’s how to make it:
Recipe: The Cold Brew Coffee Smoothie
Grab:
1 frozen banana
2 Medjool dates, pitted
3/4 cup cold-brewed coffee (I like the ‘Lucky Jack‘ Organic Nitro Cold Brew)
1 tbsp raw almond butter
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp coconut oil
Small scrape of fresh vanilla bean
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
Dash of ground cinnamon
1 tsp Nativas green coffee powder (optional for an extra energy boost)
Make:
Add to blender, blend and ENJOY!

This is fantastic and right up my ally. I wonder how avocado would taste in this as well to give it some lasting power.

How much coconut oil do you use? It’s not listed in the ingredients but is mentioned in the text. Thx!
Thank you for this idea, Geri! I am a big fan of smoothies, but I never thought about putting coffee into it. I can imagine what a nice boost of energy this recipe can provide in the morning 🙂
Hi! I made this smoothie this morning and it’s great! One question…how much coconut oil do you use? I just sorta winged it. Thx for the recipe!
I skipped the last three ingredients and it still came out great! I also added about 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk for smoothness and ice. Thumbs up. Thanks for the recipe!
Sounds Good! Gonna try this.
I’ve been lookong for a recipe to copy my favorite cold brew smoothie from my local smoothie shop. This one is even better! Thanks.
I love cold brew. Will try this recipe. Thanks!
