If you’re consciously uncoupling with some of your favorite beauty products over their toxic behavior and are looking for a new main squeeze, this post is for you! Believe it or not, some of the biggest retailers are entering the clean beauty space, making clean beauty more accessible for us all! Target, CVS, oh my! Read on for my full report:
The home of “buy everything and anything” includes a TON of clean beauty products. If you aren’t sure what to add to your cart, check out this post which includes 50+ of the best products under $30.
If you thought you couldn’t get out of Target without spending at least $100 before, now they sell W3LL PEOPLE, S.W. Basics, Yes To Carrots, Acure Organics, Weleda and a handful of clean lines. Start mentally preparing for that next credit card swipe now!
In January Nordstrom rolled out 46 in-store outposts that highlight its collection of better-for-you brands (they deserve to stand out, after all).
“We’ve long offered a small curation of natural beauty brands in our stores and spas, but have seen an increased interest in the category from customers and influencers who are very invested in what they put on and into their bodies,” says MaryNell Maddox, Nordstrom’s national beauty director. Expect major players like Tata Harper and RMS Beauty alongside more indie brands like Youth to the People and Farmaesthetics.
The Macy’s-owned beauty chain already operates 13 outlets in New York City and the Hamptons, and is poised to hike that total to 19 by year’s end. They carry favorites like Juice Beauty, Odacité and One Love Organics. Come to LA please, Bluemercury? K, thanks!
Next time you run in to CVS for an emergency tampon situation, keep an eye out for some clean favorites like Dr. Bronner’s, Burt’s Bee’s, Alba Botanica and more.
If you search “clean beauty” or “organic” on Sephora.com, surprisingly not much populates, but if you dig deep, there are a handful of lines to scoop up on your next beauty haul: Drunk Elephant, Rahua and Ilia. I’m calling it now, keep an eye on them. I have a hunch that their clean beauty offering will explode as more consumers start reading the ingredient labels.
7. Free People
Have you clicked on their “Beauty & Wellness” tab? Insert heart eye emoji here! If you haven’t then byeeee – go now! They literally carry it all (including Kosas, Henne, Vapour and even Moon Juice!).
8. Urban Outfitters
Did you know that they sell protein powders now? Among other things like tongue scrapers, David’s toothpaste (my favorite!) and some other inside out beauty products like essential oils.
Where else are you shopping for clean beauty products?
I personally love everything that Free People introduces me to. They let me know about so many new brands I’ve never heard of!

I love the Detox Market for buying clean beauty products. They have a brick & mortar in CA somewhere, but you can also order online.
