3-Ingredient Pasta Sauce

The only thing easier than this three-ingredient sauce is opening a jar, but trust me, this is SO much better! It’s become one of my weekly go-to’s โ€‹and I have a feeling it won’t be going anywhere soon. Here’s how to make it:

Recipe: 3-Ingredient Pasta Sauce

Grab:
1 yellow onion, peeled and cut in half
1.5 cans San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes
5 tbsp good olive oil
Fresh basil (optional)
Burrata or Parmesan (optional)
Pasta of choice (Bionaturae, Organic Gluten Free Spaghetti is my go-to)

Make:
1. Over low heat, add tomatoes and olive oil to pot. Place onion halves face down into tomatoes.
2. Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, and as the tomatoes start to soften, break them up with the back of a wooden spoon. Discard onion halves. Taste and season.
3. Meanwhile while that’s simmering, boil water for your pasta and cook according to the package timed closely to the 45 minutes the sauce needs.
4. Serve with cheese and basil – enjoy!

  1. Love how simple and tasty this looks ! I am surprised at the onions only being halved – do you get rid of them when the sauce is ready ? Thanks
