Random Things That Bring Me Joy

It’s very easy to passively enjoy something, but acknowledging just how happy it makes you adds another layer of gratification. Perhaps it’s reallllly enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day, finding comfort in the smell of your home when you walk in, feeling just how soft your sheets are all over your body when you get into bed or hugging someone you love extra tight to really feel the connection. Whatever it is, the big and small joys in life should never be taken for granted. So next time you’re truly enjoying something, trying acknowledging the joy and soak it in even deeper! Here are three random things I did this with today:

Carpool Karaoke with James Corden (but only the version with James Cordon)

File under absolute favorite! This series literally makes me LOL, often crying laughing, and when a new one comes out (which is sadly rare), I savor every single moment. I just watched the Jonas Brothers AND Migos episodes – 28 minutes of pure joy! Anyone else as obsessed?

Laird Superfood Creamer

Not to sound like a snob but to sound like a total snob, I’ve always judged powdered creamer. It just weirded me out and I couldn’t get behind it UNTIL I tried Laird Superfoods. Laird Superfood Creamers are crafted from the highest quality all-natural whole food ingredients, contain no artificial flavors, colors, or additives, no highly-refined sugar AND come in four flavors: original, unsweetened, turmeric (personal favorite) and cacoa. I love that I can finally have a powdered creamer to take with me anywhere I go – on a plane (hello airplane coffee savor), camping – or simply to have in my pantry.

Daylight Savings

Can I get an amen for having sunlight as late as possible?! It’s so nice to be able to take my daughter on walks without racing against the light clock. Once she’s down, it feels like I still have time in the day even though it’s not technically any earlier. It’s a state of mind I guess! Who can relate?

What brings you joy?

  2. Re: daylight savings: my President ended summer daylight savings by decree. As if there was nothing more pressing to do in the whole Brazil. He went and finished one of my greatest joys in the year…
