One of the things I love about summer is how effortless and easy beauty routines become. It’s all about pretty, natural-looking makeup and smooth, protected skin that takes you from long, hot seaside days to salty, balmy summer nights.

I recently hosted a dinner party at my house with Beautycounter to keep the conversation going about clean beauty – one you all know that I love to have! And for the guests, we curated a bag of summer beauty essentials. Here is what we chose, as they all happen to be my favorites:

Sugar Body Scrub
First thing’s first, I love this sugar body scrub because SKIN! The scrub’s brown sugar base buffs away dull skin while its sweet almond, apricot kernel and sunflower oils deeply hydrate, giving your skin a beautiful glow. After using this in the shower, your skin is dress or bikini ready.

Countersun Mineral Sunscreen
I included this sunscreen on my 2019 Sunscreen Guide because it’s just the best! Strongly recommend it if you’re looking for a go-to mineral sunscreen to get you through the summer.

Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
If you like a little bit of coverage but want something more suitable for summer weather, try Dew Skin. It’s is a tinted moisturizer with SPF 20 AND it’s packed with vitamin C. Think of it as makeup, SPF and skin care all in one.

Touchup Skin Concealer Pen
If you prefer to let your skin look 100% like skin but like a little spot treatment (my personal preference on good skin days), this concealer pen is all that you need. It offers medium coverage which is perfect for covering up dark circles, brown spots and/or redness.

Color Pinch Cream Blusher
A conditioning cream blush that blends beautifully into the skin leaving a pop of color and a dewy finish. This multitasker also works on lips and lids for perfect summer skin that looks like you just had a day of fun in the sun.

Sheer Lipstick
Offered in a variety of 10 shades, this super buildable, sheer lipstick is hydrating and provides a wash of color – ideal for summer IMO. I personally really like Petal, Twig and Poppy.
