BIA IS BACK!

Hello to all of you and hello to 2022! Happy new year!

After a pandemic-induced blogging hiatus, I’m back to where it all started and I’m so excited to be here! I’ve missed it. I’ve missed you!

I’ve missed sharing on the Internet the good old-fashioned way. I’ve missed writing. I’ve missed the way the keyboard feels under my fingertips when I’m in a writing flow, like a pianist playing their favorite song to an audience of none. I’ve missed building out an editorial calendar. I’ve missed hitting the ‘publish’ button. I’ve missed connecting through the topics covered on the blog. And in a world where content is scrolled over and consumed in big gulp quantities only to never be looked at again, I’ve missed creating content that isn’t that. Content that can be read at leisure, referenced easily, and on a platform that doesn’t have a character limit which allows for meaty, meaningful topics (not always, but when necessary!). I’ve missed it all.

So, hi. I hope you’ve been well. I know it’s been a rough few years. How are you doing?

Personally, I’ve had some pretty big life changes in the last couple of years. The biggest being that we moved out of LA and headed two hours north to a farm in Santa Ynez (more on that here if you’ve missed!). A journey that has been incredible for our family and full of life learnings for me, some of which we will dive into further this year.

As for what to expect on the blog, meet me here every Thursday? There will be one new post per week, some of which will be thoughtful, lengthier posts and others will be easily digestible things that you were once used to around here like lists, hacks, tips, recommendations, etc. I’ve also asked my guest contributor Chelsea to write again sporadically since she brings a different voice and experience to the table – but all that falls into the BIA vibe. If there’s anything you would like to see on the blog, please feel free to drop me a note via email, DM or here in the comments.

Excited to see you again, here!

XX,

G
