Smoothie bowls are my favorite (and not just because they’re pretty for Instagram!). Especially this chocolate cacao smoothie bowl.
Like a regular smoothie, smoothie bowls are a great way to pack in loads of greens, berries, superfoods, vitamins and minerals BUT you also get to add all of your favorite toppings.
Here’s how to make my chocolate cacao smoothie bowl:
For the smoothie:
1 cup baby spinach
1 frozen banana
1 cup almond milk
1 serving chocolate protein protein powder (I use Vega)
2 tablespoons powdered cacao (I use Navitas)
1 tbsp chia seeds (I use Navitas)
1/2 cup frozen berries of your choice
1 tbsp honey
Fresh sliced strawberries
Cacao Nibs (I use Navitas)
1. Blend the spinach, chia seeds and almond milk first.
2. Add remaining smoothie ingredients and blend.
3. Top with your favorites. I used strawberry slices, blueberries, shaved coconut, chopped nuts, granola and cacao nibs but have fun with it!
