Ahhhhh! There’s nothing like a breath of fresh air UNLESS you can’t actually breathe through your nose or feel pain in your chest upon deep breaths. That’s where this stuffy nose herbaceous face steam comes in.
Complete with fragrant soothing herbs and therapeutic essential oils, this face steam is an excellent decongestant. Plus, chances are, you may already have everything you need to make it. Here’s how:
Stuffy Nose Herb Face Steam
3-4 of your favorite herbs such as eucalyptus, mint, rosemary, thyme or sage (I picked these all right outside in my garden!)
2-5 drops of eucalyptus, tea tree, peppermint, lavender, lemon, rosemary or oregano essential oil (this is optional but it helps)
1. Boil water and pour into a large pot or heatproof bowl. Add herbs and essential oil, stir and let steep for 2 minutes.
2. Cover your head and bowl with a towel and place your face 12 inches above the water. Keep your eyes closed to prevent eye irritation and take deep breaths for no more than two minutes at a time. Feel good!
Bonus: if your nose isn’t stuffy but your chest is, try doing this breathing technique while doing the steam for some extra R&R.
