You know when your husband says, “this can’t be healthy, it’s too good, what’s in it?” that you’ve got a major winner on your hands when it comes to a sneakily healthy recipe. This smoothie is just that! When my husband asks me to make this in the morning he refers to it as, “the milkshake one” because it’s packed with thickening, sweet ingredients that remind him of his favorite shake as a child. You know those really creamy shakes you can only get at a diner or fast-food joint. MMMM!
Between the oats, banana and peanut butter, this smoothie is not only milkshake-like but it’s incredibly filling thanks to the dense amount of nutrients. Here’s how to make it:
Recipe: Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Grab:
1/4 heaping cup of oats
1 banana (ripe or frozen)
1.5 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp cacao
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp hemp seeds
1 tsp chia seeds
1.5 cups almond milk
Dash of cinnamon
Handful of ice
Make:
1. Blend oats until they turn into a dust-like substance.
2. Add remaining ingredients, blend, taste, adjust if needed (if you like it more peanut butter-y, add more, if you want it colder, add more ice, if you want it thicker add more banana, thinner add more almond milk, etc.) blend again and enjoy!

Peanut butter and banana is the ultimate combo! Pretty much up there on my list with PB chocolate and PB&J. Yum!
