LIVE WELL: Celery Juice

If you get on Instagram at all (like even once a week), you’ve probably seen celery juice in your feed. It’s all the rage right now. We’ll probably move on to something else in a week or so, but I thought it was worth investigating a bit since it’s become so ridiculously popular. And turns out, I’m kinda hooked.

According to health gurus like Anthony William from Medical Medium, celery juice is the key to achieving optimal gut health, glowing skin (hence why I jumped on the bandwagon – can’t hurt?) and even balanced adrenals. Plus, it’s supposed to really help with energy and bloat. Umm yesss please.

To give it a go, all you have to do is juice one organic head of celery every day. (If you’re in need of a juicer, here is a more affordable option with good reviews.) Then drink the juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach along with a big glass of water. From what I’ve heard, after a few weeks of making this your morning ritual, you should start to see and feel the results.

The jury is still out for me on the “trendiness” of drinking celery juice, but it is loaded with vitamin K, A and C, folate, potassium and fiber, so what’s there to lose?

Have you tried the celery juice trend? Would love to know if you’ve experienced any of the positive changes associated with it. Plz share!

  1. As much as I love celery, something about this wellness trend made me chuckle and reminded me of a Portlandia sketch where celery’s PR/marketing person was down in the dumps because his vegetable wasn’t trendy, while the PR/marketing reps for cauliflower and Brussels sprouts were ecstatic. Vegetable trends may come and go, but one can’t go too far wrong with eating more plants overall!

  2. I love celery in/on things, but I don’t know if I can handle a glass full of celery!? However, I’m sure it’s full of everything a human needs to become immortal!
