How’s everyone feeling with your spiritual detox? Still going strong? Hope so!
I mentioned collagen as one of my 2017 wellness trends, and this week I want to talk more about why. Collagen is popping up on tons of healthy living lists and for good reason. It’s even being called the “super supplement.”
Benefits include: strong boost for hair, teeth & nails, prevents onset of aging and also reverses signs that are already showing (see ya wrinkles!), it’s good for your bones, and it helps with digestion by soothing and sealing the protective lining of the gastrointestinal tract. It’s especially helpful for people with acid reflux, IBS, or a leaky gut.
Those are benefits I can definitely get behind, and have. You ready?
Challenge: Add collagen to your diet
I personally add a scoop of this collagen to my morning smoothies. This specific brand is non-GMO and only contains one ingredient, collagen. Smoothies are where most of my healthy additions go—it’s just so easy. I also enjoy that this collagen makes my smoothies a little thicker and I can’t taste it at all. Other things I love adding to my smoothies: bee pollen (read why here), chia seeds and flax seed.
If you’re not a smoothie fan, you can also add the collagen straight to water.
Easy and crazy healthy! Do itttt.

So interested to try this! I’ve been seeing collagen pop up everywhere but haven’t really understood what it is/does.

Interesting! I’ve been seeing collagen pop up for a while now in relation to bone broth, although it seems the jury is still out on whether consuming collagen actually boosts the collagen in one’s body: http://time.com/4159156/bone-broth-health-benefits/

This is so interesting. Why did you choose the marine collagen over the beef collagen? Trying to figure out which one I want to try. Thanks for the post!
I was really hoping to read more in-depth about the results you personally have seen from using collagen. Just some feedback for future wellness challenge posts! 🙂
I’m really interested in this! I’ve heard a lot of buzz about collagen, but haven’t tried it out personally. Have you seen any changes since you’ve started consuming it?

Eating collagen directly doesn’t do anything, and can even hurt your body.
You should try and GENERATE collagen and take Bio-Sil instead… I have been trying it for a while now and have noticed a change in my hair…
