We are in the thick of cold and flu season and it’s gnarly out there. If you’re sick or feeling run down throw one of these ginger shots back for a major boost.
Here’s how to make your own ginger shots:
Grab:
1” piece fresh ginger
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Make:
Blend. Strain. Sip or shoot.
Benefits:
Ginger is a natural antibiotic that stimulates the digestive system, warms up your body, and helps break up mucus in the lungs, as well as soothe even the most painful sore throats. The lemon gives a nice dose of f vitamin C which boosts your immune system and detoxifies the body. And lastly, the cayenne helps treat fevers, nausea, and digestive issues.
For an anti-inflammatory shot head right this way.

Thanks, that is really helpful. I would try to make it and shoot it, as I totally believe it would taste awful, but I think it is so important in the same time.

Definitely going to give this a go, it looks so good. xx
I wonder if it’s better to take this shoot in the morning on an empty stomach? Or after a meal?
Could I make a batch and keep in the fridge? How many days would it last or do I have to make it fresh daily?
yes! i make this in batches and keep it for three days. xx
Can i use lime if I’m out of lemons?
I love the recipe. I will try it.
I tried it & it is fabulous! I went to Whole Foods this morning to try theirs……they put a ton of cayenne. Does anyone know the amount of ginger and cayenne it takes to get full nutrient benefits?
