I absolutely love dark chocolate, blueberries AND smoothies so I thought, why not combine them all to make a powerhouse antioxidants cup of goodness? Between the blueberries, cacao, chia seeds and greens, this smoothie is an excellent (and tasty), start to an energetic day. Here’s how to make it:
Recipe: Dark Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie
Grab:
1 cup of frozen blueberries
Handful of kale
2 tbsp raw cacao powder (I use Navitas)
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 pitted dates
Dash of cinnamon
Small handful of ice
Make:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.
ENJOY!

This is brilliant! A quick and healthy alternative to put down a high protein meal following a workout while keeping the fiber and Omegas in check.
Such a brilliant idea for the breakfast! Yummy!! I love blueberries and it’s so healthy when you combine them with the chocolate. Cold drink is what we need now:) Especially in LA and Texas.

Made it for us as a treat, my boys and husband enjoyed it as well. I’ve had a vitamin D and calcium shortage so the kale and chia combination is very helpful for me as an additional supplement. The vitamin C in kale helps absorb the rest and who doesn’t love chocolate Blueberry flavored vegi’s? Also I used some yogurt, cinnamon, and honey to add a little sweetness; cinnamon and honey helps regulate my blood sugars as well. Very nice. Thank you.
