If you’re heading to Coachella this week and plan on being in a bathing suit and denim cut-off shorts all weekend, it’s time to prep that skin you’ve been hiding all winter long! Here are a few tips:
SKIN BRUSH
Dry skin brush daily leading up to the festival. It will strip away all the dead skin cells and help fight cellulite.
SCRUB
Add a nourishing body scrub this one or this one to your shower routine OR go visit a Korean spa (I like Wi Spa if you’re in LA). It will brighten and tighten and leave your skin as soft as can be.
NOURISH
Douse your body in oil or body butter after every shower for glowy, nourished looking skin. And if you’re up for it, try abhyanga which is an incredible self-massage done with oil (you can read about it here).
HYDRATE
Drinking plenty of water will add moisture to your skin which is key if you’re battling dryness. Up your water intake this week, but most importantly while you’re in the desert.
Who is getting excited for Coachella?!

I was researching dry brushing just the other day, what a coincidence. Still considering whether to start it or not as there are opposing opinions about them out there!

Any suggestions for a good Korean Spa in NYC? My sister and I are going this weekend and are in the weeds trying to read reviews/find a good one!
Hi Geri, as someone with fair, sensible melasma-prone skin and a family history of non-melanoma skin cancer, I started to take pycnogenol this year, and am thinking about adding fernblock to my mix. They’re natural, plant derived anti-oxidant, anti dna damaging, with efficacy in preventing dark spots and skin cancer cientificaly proved.along with vitamin D and sunscreen, I think they’re my skin prep for life 🙂
